We went to bed early and so we got up. I chose to make a 6 hour trip on Hardangervidda on foot but before that we had to drive about 45km to the starting point - Bjoreidalshytta. The plateau is impressive - it’s not completely flat, of course, there are hills here and there - but it’s so large, so much open space and Hardangerjokullen glacier visible to the north like a great, sleepy spectator or guardian. Everything I love one can find in mountains. My opponent at Słupsk Scrabble Tournament had this on his T-shirt and I’m considering buying one for me. The road to Spiterstulen is paid 50NOK but driving it offers you unforgettable sights. At first there are these small (and even bigger ones) trees, some stones and little streams so it looks like a land from a fairytale. We have to stop two times because of cows crossing the road.
